Face Claim: Kadoc Zemlupus // Fate/Grand Order
APPEARANCE
Khol is short for a male, being only about 5'4". He is athletically built, but not as lean as everyone thinks he is. He has quite a bit of muscle structure. However he has a tendency to hide himself under t-shirt that are too big and a big puffy jacket. The jacket is grey and has a fur rimmed hood, which he almost never takes off. He also has a habit of wearing black turtle necks and long sleeves, even in the summer time. He also has quite a few piercings. Both of his ears are pierced, the right side has 3 piercings while the left side just has one. He also has two piercings on his neck, which is a weird place for them, but he doesn't care much. He also usually has a red henna tattoo on his right hand, but occasionally he will go without it. His eyes are a bright golden color. His hair is very shaggy and a dirty grey-white. He also has a few scars, but none that he really mentions. Mostly on his arms and thighs from previous suicide attempts.
PERSONALITY
Khol seems to be your basic loner goth kid. Most kids seem afraid of him and steer clear in case he's some kind of mass murderer or something. He's very quiet, and keeps to himself. He seems to have no interest in making friends or being around other people. In reality he has extreme anxiety and depression and simply prefers his own company. However, he is quite a kind soul if he does actually open up to people. He does have difficulty speaking, which makes it even harder for him to be in school, but he always considers himself very lucky for being here. He is also not proud of who he is. He would honestly rather just disappear.
HISTORY
Khol's mother died during his birth, and he was raised by his grandparents. They always told him that she gave her life so that he could have his, and they never let him forget that he took their daughter away. But they also never let him grow up not knowing who she was. They let him keep photos of her in his room, and would tell stories about her over dinner. However, once he was old enough to understand the gravity of the question, he had to wonder who he father was. His grandparents instantly fell silent, and they never gave him a proper answer. They usually would just make up one excuse or another, and then go back to whatever it was that they were doing. Every time he brought up the question, it would upset them, so he quit asking.
His childhood was otherwise fairly normal. He got teased quite a lot for not having any parents, for always wearing clothes that his grandmother would make him, or for smelling like 'old people'. He never really made any friends, as no one ever wanted to hang out with him. He learned to cherish his own time and keep himself occupied, mostly with books or video games.
As he reached his middle school years, he began to feel something inside of him changing, and it wasn't for the better. His mind started lying to him rather regularly. Despite the fact that he knew his grandparents loved him and meant well, his mind told him that he was a burden and that he never should have been born. He began taking pills and cutting and breaking into the liquor cabinet. His depression and anxiety dropped him very low, and there were quite a few times where he went in and out of psych wards and rehab centers to try and get help. There were quite a few suicide attempts in his second year of middle school, when he was nearly 13.
One of those attempts was nearly successful, and it was the one that changed his life forever.
He had managed to take a few too many pills and drink just a little too much before cutting himself, and he wound up nicking an artery. His grandparents found him bleeding out on his bathroom floor and rushed him to the hospital. He was legally dead for 2 minutes. During that time, he met Death. His father, who had just recently taken over the position. His father told him that he was to leave his life behind and come to a special school for people like him.
For a few days after he returned home from the hospital, he thought about it. Then he worked up the courage to ask his grandparents what they thought. At first, they were fairly hesitant about the idea. They explained that they knew about his father, but that they had never believed the words their daughter had told them until the day she died and they saw him for themselves. They never wanted Khol to know about that part of his life, but now that he did, they decided it might be in his best interest for him to get to know his father and make his own decisions in life.
Khol started at the school from First Year up. It took him awhile to adjust, and for the longest time he just wanted to go home. Being Death's son was hard enough, but in a place like this, it seemed like everyone thought he was abusing the system somehow, when in all honesty, he just wanted to get to know himself a little bit better.
